Cosmetology

Future Cosmetologists

The Cosmetology Program prepares students for entry-level jobs in the human services industry. The program provides students with hands-on training relating to hair, nails, and makeup. Second year students in this program have the opportunity to earn their Virginia Cosmetology License.

Program Outcomes

By the completion of this program, students will be expected to demonstrate an introductory level of competency in the following skills:

• Haircutting – Cut and style hair using various methods
• Chemical Services – Perform perms, colorings, and other chemical services
• Nail Services – Perform manicures and pedicures
