Future Automotive Repair Technicians

The Automotive Technology Program prepares students for entry-level jobs in the automotive technology industry. The program provides students with hands-on training to service automobiles. Students in the second year of this program have the opportunity to earn several ASE certifications and their Virginia State Inspector License.

Program Outcomes

By the completion of this program, students will be expected to demonstrate an introductory level of competency in the following skills:

  • Estimating – Analyze and create estimates for vehicles
  • Maintenance & Light Repair – Perform common tasks such as battery, brakes, and oil changes
  • Inspections – Perform a vehicle multi-point inspection
